In The Studio with multi-Grammy winning and Emmy nominated film/TV composer Jared Faber.

From writing music for children's animation to scoring for television and movies, Jared is no doubt a great song writer. He takes us into his studio to talk about his methods, recording studio, and ways to make yourself stand out as a composer.
Jared is a multi-Grammy winning and Emmy nominated composer for film & TV and a songwriter/producer. A native New Yorker and alumnus of New York’s famed High School of Performing Arts, Jared took an interest in music from an early age as a guitar player, immersing himself in the New York music scene, while studying and playing with the best that the city had to offer. After high school he continued his music education at Berklee College of Music, studying jazz arranging and composition.
Fresh out of college, Jared found opportunities writing music for some of the early animated video games, but quickly segued into the world of TV & film scoring. He initially found opportunities writing music for Nickelodeon and “ghost writing” for other NY composers on various children’s and animated series. In 1999 the opportunity to move to Los Angeles came in the way of “As Told by Ginger”. “Ginger” was the first show developed by writer & executive producer Emily Kapnek and the first of many on which the two would collaborate. Jared and Emily penned the theme song performed by Macy Gray who at the time was just coming off of her first Grammy win.
