We Recorded In A Random Tunnel... How Does It Sound?

Posted by on

Soundiron founders Mike Peaslee and Gregg Stephens hit the trail for a field recording hike along the North stretch of the Marsh Creek Trail in the SF Bay Area, bringing along a custom 4 channel blimp build to see how it performs out in the wild. The rig is built around the Zoom F6, paired with Mic Booster Clippy EM272 Z omni mics and Sonorous Objects SO.3 EM423 lav cardioid mics. Compact setup, serious detail. They captured flowing streams, flocks of geese, crows overhead, and even an unexpectedly musical highway underpass that turned into one of the highlights of the day.
