OVERVIEW

The Cylindrum is a massive tuned percussion instrument designed using the principle of open and closed air column resonance. The instrument was constructed by Gregg Stephens with the help some rather involved mathematics, plenty of elbow grease and quite a few bloody fingers. The end result is a massive 20-foot-long tuned percussion instrument with a pitch range spanning a full 4 octaves. Overall, it sounds like a strange organic synthesizer coupled with tuned tom toms. With deeply nuanced dynamic velocity layering and extensive round-robin variation, this instrument is truly an experimental percussionist's dream come true.

Our interface for Kontakt offers a full suite of intuitive sound-shaping controls and professional features to give you complete artistic freedom. You can easily blend and customize sounds to create your own unique instruments with 4 independent sonic layers. Dial in every detail with a full range of deeply customizable options, or leave it stock and start playing right out of the box! You can even roll the dice to randomize settings for instant inspiration.

This library includes a flexible LFO system with tempo sync, assignable shapes and control targets, and a selection of 12 modulatable filter types for shaping motion and tone. The advanced tab includes filter, LFO, and ARP systems. The flexible arpeggiator module includes a variety of directions and patterns, and built-in key and scale lock options make it easy to get in the flow and stay in key.

Our interface for Kontakt is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 18 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of the 10 available slots, in any order that you wish.

The samples in this library are standard 24 bit 48 kHz wave files. They can be used in any audio software or hardware that supports common wav files.

System Requirements

Kontakt 5.6 requires Windows 7 (or higher), or MacOS 10.9 (or higher). The full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt is required to use .nki instrument presets in this library. The free Kontakt Player, Libraries Browser, Native Access integration, and some NKS hardware features are not supported.
Decent Sampler 1.11.18 requires Windows 10 (or higher), MacOS 10.11 (or higher), or Linux (x86-64 and ARM64).
A Multi-Core CPU, 8+ GB System Ram, and SSD hard drive are recommended for this library.
