Alto Glockenspiel is a concert mallet percussion library for Kontakt & Decent Sampler, featuring a 25-key alto glockenspiel and 7-key toy glockenspiel. The GUI offers a variety of articulations, microphone mixing, FX rack, arp and sound-designed ambiences to layer and shape.

The Alto Glockenspiel was captured from a close, dry stereo position and a far, wide position out in a large cathedral, so you've got two very different flavors to work with. These distinct instrument articulation and microphone sets can be independently loaded and controlled, providing you with lots of tonal and atmospheric flavors to layer and shape.

We recorded the alto glockenspiel with 3 different articulations: hard mallet, soft mallet and choked. We've also rolled in our classic little children's toy glockenspiel library as a bonus. Each articulation has several dynamic layers and plenty of round-robin variation to create a very dynamic and naturally playable virtual instrument.

The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more.

Pan the sounds anywhere on the virtual sound stage for total spatial control.

This library includes a flexible LFO system with tempo sync, assignable modulation targets, and a selection of 12 filters for shaping motion and tone. A customizable arpeggiator and built in key and scale lock make it easy to create musical patterns quickly and stay in key.

Transition smoothly using the built-in pseudo legato controls.

The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of e8 available slots, in any order that you wish.

You can use our intuitive UI controls to customize the sound to your needs, with layer-specific controls for swell, attack, release, tightness, tuning, vibrato, articulation selection, an optional sub-synth waveform underlay module for tonal reinforcement.

The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 8 available slots, in any order that you wish. You’ll find classic phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ, rotator and so much more.

Full retail version of Kontakt 6.6 or later is required to use the Kontakt presets in this library. The free Kontakt Player is not supported.

This library includes presets for the free Decent Sampler engine by Decent Samples (version 1.11.18 or later). Decent Sampler is a powerful platform that offers many of the same core features you’ll find in our Kontakt presets, with a broad selection of effects, customization features and host/midi automation support. It’s compatible with VST, VST3, AAX, Audiounit, Auv3 and Standalone for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Linux.

Mac users: The Decent Sampler presets in this library require OSX 10.9 or later. The Kontakt presets in this library require OSX 10.12 or later.

Windows users: Windows 7 or higher is required.

The samples in this library are standard 24 bit 48 kHz wave files. They can be used in any audio software or hardware that supports common wav files.

System Requirements

The full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt version 6.6 (or later) is required to use .nki instrument presets included in this library. The free Kontakt "Player" and "Add Library" import process do not support these standard open-format Kontakt libraries.

The free Decent Sampler engine is required to use the .dspreset instrument presets included in this library.

Windows 7 or higher. Mac OSX 10.12 or higher for Kontakt. Mac OSX 10.9 or higher for Decent Sampler. Linux x86 64bit supported for Decent Sampler. Multi-Core CPU, 3 GB System Ram, SATA or SSD hard drive recommended for this library.
