Los Andes Pan Flutes
We teamed up with Argentinian Pan Flute master and Antara Records founder Alejandro Fatur to bring you this outstanding collection of four traditional Argentinian pan flutes, exploring a broad key range and variety of chromatic articulations, expressive effects and phrases.
The Toyo covers the bass range, at well over a meter in length with rich sub-harmonics and a fat, breathy tone. The Zanca and Malta span the lower and upper mid-range. Finally, the Ch’ulli reaches into the soprano range.
You can play the entire range as a combined instrument or choose individual flutes. The sustains and 3 staccato speeds offer your choice of clean non-vibrato, vibrato and whispering flautando styles, in both piano and forte dynamics. The crescendo and decrescendo expressions and special flute effects add plenty of spice to the mix. All chromatic articulations feature round robin. The level of depth and detail lets you craft lush, natural pan flute arrangements, while our advanced sound-shaping and performance features give you the freedom to explore.
To capture the feel of a live pan flute in the hands of an expert, Alejandro also recorded thousands of beautiful melodic phrases for each of the pan flutes, performing a total of well over 10,000 distinct melodic elements. The phrases are organized by flute, tempo, musical key and performance style. You can trigger them individually with your keyboard or sequence them in the phrase sequencer, with full control over tempo, offset, release, pitch and more.

Was born in 1962 and lives in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina, dedicating himself to teaching, recording engineering and music. He studied at the ISEDET when he was a student at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory and Carlos Piegari with whom he intensively learned guitar. While studying Physics in Bariloche, with a scholarship from the National Atomic Energy Commission at the Balseiro Institute, he learned flute and composition with his main teacher in the art of music: JOSE LUIS TUBERT.
His musical activity is focused on expression through recordings. Like a painter on his canvas, he superimposes guitars, flutes, charangos, sikus, antaras and other instruments in his recording studio. This technique allows him to perform duets, trios, quartets, etc., with himself. A distinctive feature of his compositions is the use of sounds from nature as an active part of his music. In this way he manages to create deep climates that ignite in those who listen to them, images and feelings alien to pure music and typical of other arts, such as cinema. In addition to his intense solo work, he has been part of various groups, standing out the duo with Jorge Shitu, the composition of songs with Marcelo Zapata and mainly with the group LA FRAGUA with which they produced the work "DE LOS ANDES A LOS BEATLES" (2 cds, 2001 and 2007). In 2013 he edited together with the group »From the Andes to Vivaldi - The four seasons", the group's third CD, recreating one of the most important works in the history of music with South American rhythms and folk instruments. So far, he has published 12 CDs and his music has been used to score TV programs in the country and abroad (Channel 13, Telefé, Discovery Channel, BBC).

Kontakt Format
This library is designed for the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5 or later. Kontakt is an industry-standard advanced virtual instrument software platform. You can view screenshots of this library's custom graphical user interface in the image gallery above. This library is packed with features to provide you a wide range of sound shaping parameter controls, each one totally automation-ready in your host environment or Kontakt's stand-alone mode. Learn more about Kontakt by Clicking Here.
This is a standard Kontakt open-format library, so the free Kontakt Player does not fully support it and can only run it in a limited "demo mode". However, the sample directories are unlocked so you can use them in other wav-compatible software, sampler and synth formats. The special Libraries tab doesn't support this open-format Kontakt library, but you can use the standard File browser tab and import this library into the Kontakt Quickload window for easy loading and navigation.
