Didgeridoos is a one-of-a-kind virtual instrument that provides a wide chromatic range of 16 individually tuned didgeridoos that gives users the power to create rhythms and melodies that have never been heard or played before with this instrument, created by William MacGavin and David Zagardo. It features a wide variety of sustaining rhythmic grooves, vowel sounds and beatbox-style staccatos and effect articulations.
The didgeridoo is an ancient wooden horn originally made and played by the Aboriginal Peoples of Australia, and is an instrument traditionally used for ceremonies and festivities. This virtual instrument was crafted with great respect for the Aboriginal Peoples of Australia, their culture, and their values. It is not intended to be used in a traditional context and has been designed to provide creative tools and new sonic possibilities for composers and musicians everywhere to explore. It is not intended to represent or replace the authentic realism, cultural importance and soul of traditional aboriginal musicianship and spiritual traditions.
Will Macgavin has been playing the didgeridoo for the past 15 years as a soloist and with bands playing genres such as rock, jazz, bluegrass, orchestral music, and much more. Will has developed a contemporary playing style to play this instrument in a modern context, blending beatbox and traditional brass techniques. MacGavin Woodworks designs acoustically unique didgeridoos and crafts them from ethically sourced timbers, which were extensively sampled for the creation of this library.
David Zagardo is a composer and recording engineer based in Birmingham, Alabama, specializes in music composition and post production sound for films, games, musicians, podcasts, and more. After collaborating together on a recording project, they teamed up to record these instruments at David's studio, to capture the dynamic range of each instrument in a dry studio environment, with attention to every detail to get maximum clarity.

Reviews & Endorsements
"Soundiron’s Digeridoos library presents a collection of deeply sampled and expertly programmed didgeridoos. Tempo-synced performances with additional FX and one-shots make it easy to implement these well produced sounds in any context. The creative FX presets are a nice bonus and starting point for exploring didgeridoo sound design."
“I needed something unusual sounding that could also perfectly meld with my orchestral template. On a whim, I tried the new SoundIron didgeridoos. I blended it with low woodwinds and it was exactly what I was looking for!”
“In addition to the realistic Didgeridoo instrument -- playable as a keyboard in the ensemble setting --- the REAL fun lies in the custom presets. They are immediately fun to play and easily add a lively grunge to the bass voice in any larger track. I love that it's now something I could use outside of a 'travelogue' setting."
"Didgeridoos is what I refer to as an ‘onion skin library,’ (stay with me we’re nearly at the end!), on the surface it’s an onion, but there are many layers to that onion!...Didgeridoos does offer a rare palette of unique timbres, tones and rhythms that are not heard in your average everyday sample library."
"The instrument offers the perfect range of authentic didgeridoo patches as well as modern evolved sounds so the composer can go either way or anywhere in between."
