Iron Pack 9 - Fat Analog was created with premium analog hardware, including an Elektron Analog Four and various filters, custom hardware signal paths and effects. The circuitry is modern, but each sample designed by our own Spencer Nunamaker was inspired by classic vintage sounds, with the full body and warmth you expect from analog synthesis. This 413 MB library for Kontakt and SFZ includes 106 standard pcm wav samples that can be used in any wav-compatible environment.

- This product also includes open-source SFZ presets that can be used in any synth or sampler that supports SFZ opcode version 2.0. Mac users: The Kontakt presets in this library require OSX 10.9 or later PC users: The Kontakt presets in this library require Windows 7 or later The instrument sample sound files in this library are encoded as standard 24 bit 48 kHz PCM wave files. They can be used in any audio software or hardware that supports common wav files.

The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. We've also included 20 unique sound-designed custom FX presets to give you lots of creative options.

This library comes with an adaptable LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 12 lowpass, high-pass and FX filters, with assignable modulation targets such as velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position and step-sequencer table control. Our customizable arpeggiator offers a velocity table and control over arp direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration. We’ve included a key and scale lock system to constrain your notes to common scales and keys for easy melodic composition and live performance.

The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 18 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 10 available slots, in any order that you wish. We’ve added a great bank of FX rack chain factory presets to get you started!

Kontakt & SFZ Formats

This library is designed for the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5 or later. Kontakt is an industry-standard advanced virtual instrument software platform. Check out screenshots of our custom graphical user interface for Kontakt in the image gallery above. They provide a wide range of sound shaping parameter controls, each one totally automation-ready in your host environment or Kontakt's stand-alone mode. Learn more about Kontakt by Clicking Here.

This is a standard Kontakt open-format library, so the free Kontakt Player does not fully support it and can only run it in a limited "demo mode". However, the sample directories are unlocked so you can use them in other wav-compatible software, sampler and synth formats. The special Libraries tab doesn't support this open-format Kontakt library, but you can use the standard File browser tab, or import this library into the Kontakt database and Quickload tools for easy navigation, loading and organization.

If you'd like to use the sounds in these Iron Pack libraries in other synths and samplers outside of Kontakt, or you do not yet own the full version of Kontakt, you can still enjoy using all of the content and many of the main control features. We've included universal sfz presets. These open-format presets can be imported into any sfz opcode spec 2.0 compliant soft-synth or sampler engine.

There are many SFZ-compatible VST, AU and AAX Plugin engines to choose from. If you'd like an easy to use sampler plugin that can load these presets with a full-featured GUI, we highly recommend the free Sforzando player by Plogue. We've optimized these presets to let you experience the full range of features we've included in our SFZ presets for this library. Sforzando is compatible with vst, au and rtas plugin format standards. It's available for Mac OSX 10.6 and up and Windows XP and up. Click Here for the Sforzando Player PDF User's Guide
